Playful Pompon Balls Tutu

It's so much fun to sew this tutu...
I asked Julie to put the pompon balls in the lace pocket one by one. It's kinda like her artwork.
 (thanks for little model Julie)

She just loves her new tutu!!

Julie tried to shake the pompon balls so hard~~

And She was counting how many pompon balls she put..."1, 2, 3, 4......."

 She said, "there are 100!"

She kept laughing...."so many many pompon balls~~"

Sewing Fabric Alphabets For Sensory Play

I always enjoy seeing my kids playing, sharing or fighting, even crying....I think PLAYING is the most important part.
So I pay much attention on looking for good toys for them. Too many gadgets at home means sometimes too much noise.
I would like something my kids can touch, feel the texture or even smell it. At the same time, they can learn ABC to build the language skill.

Julie tried to stack up the alphabets while Jake tried to feel the fleece on the back.

100% Cotton fabric lined with fleece.

I asked my kids if they know how to place A-Z...

When I was thinking that they would not do it right....

Sunddenly Jake took 4 alphabets (X, C, A, R,) and made  "C" "A" "R" (accidentally?)

Jake started looking for other alphabets and read them himself.... :)

All right! Everyday activity began....Fighting~~~

Julie said loudly, "it's mine!!!"

And Sharing.....

"Time to clean up!" mommy said...

"It's easy! you see...mommy!"

Tea Party In The Rainy Day...

What a shinny and colorful rainy day!

Julie's handmade bunting is beautiful even when the sun isn't hitting it.

By putting up these stained glass bunting, relax with the sound of rain,
a warm and colorful tea party begins!

Colorful confettiz gives the accent to these creamy vanilla buttercream mini-cakes!

Julie loves colorful confettiz!! "They're so pretty!"

She holds it with both hands, like a precious gift!

This time we use fresh n' healthy CUCUMBER as the primary ingredient!
" Crab-meat Cucumber submarine " , " Diving Shrimp "

" Ham N' Cheese Cucum-bur(ger) "

" Sailing Cucum-Boat "

Julie said, we can't sail but we can TASTE of SAILING!!

Decorate Your World

We tried fabric bunting for Julie's birthday last time.
This time we loved to try new way with Julie participating for her just-for-fun decoration---stained glass bunting. She turned out doing this art activity seriously.
She is always curious about how to use the cheese grater when she sees me using it.

"What's inside?" Julie asked. She figured out the crayon dropped inside when she grated crayons on the cheese grate.

Removing the cheese grater, there was the beautiful shavings...

...and put the shavings into separate compartments of a water color container.

When Julie was washing her hands, I put crayon shavings on half of a folded over piece of wax paper. I folded the other half over the shavings and then ironed it between two layers of paper. This process was repeated at least a dozen times.

Now we got the bunting ready for the next tea party!

Baby crib bedding

I just love floral and stripy pattern! How would it be if I put these 2 patterns together for my baby crib set--- crib bumper, sheeting, skirt and a diaper bag (not shown here)?

Featuring artful embroidery for added texture and dimension, the bumper is sewn with the flowers cut from the orange crib sheeting fabric.

I also bought the supreme soft baby yarn to crochet a blanket. A crib set for my little cute pie!

Julie's 4th Birthday Party

The Art project started! My passion about art and craft and cooking can be shared with you here. I did an experiment on Julie's 4th Birthday Party. Thank you Little Julie!

Some fabric buntings and Julie's name as the banner.

We love spinach and mushroom quiche!! Kids asked for more and said mommy so yummy~

The cupcakes with chocolate frosting as Julie's birthday cake! Kids were amazed and said "so many birthday cakes!"

Do you see the "happy birthday" jello-kind wordings on the door? The kids took and chopped them with the toy knife. We couldn't find any pieces after the party!

The balloons were moving back and forth when the kids running around.

More cupcakes for round 2 party for Julie's relatives at the evening. This time we tried icing sugar frosting with little sprinkles highlight.
